Figueroa 101
Here you are. Welcome to the website for all interested in thinking AND writing at the same time, a rather difficult though rewarding endeavour. I have designed this web page to serve several purposes, though none of them cross I hope. The first is to serve as a resource to my class syllabi and ongoing assignments. The second purpose is to provide those in my classes with important information about my teaching philosophy and ideas from which to expand their minds and, hopefully, their "writing" minds. The last purported function of this page is to provide all who might want to access other resources that can aid in both the structural and conceptual areas of putting words to dead trees. Hopefully, this page will serve these purposes well and you will serve yourselves well by choosing to access and "download" the info into that most underused of PC's, your brain.

And here is the stuff you've been wanting to see: syllabi, grade scales, evaluative standards, and all the rest to make your stay a pleasant one. So sit back, make sure your trays are locked in their upright positions, and your brain will be with you in a moment.

Links with the symbol denote a "Thinking Zone".  Do not attempt these areas if you are planning on writing "cookie cutout" essays.
